Celebrating Success

On Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September Dafydd Pawlett (year 10) and Gracie Griffiths (year 9) travelled to Bedford for the English Age Group Championships.  Athletes travelled from all over the country to compete at this prestigious event making it the unofficial UK Championships.

Gracie Griffiths  debuted in the big U15 Girls 3K Walk and what a fantastic race she had, she demolished her PB with a walk of 17m.22 to come 4th against much more experienced competition. This, along with the 1K Welsh Record she recorded the other week sets her in good stead for her Race Walking future.

Dafydd Pawlett did not disappont in the U15 Boys Shot. He went into the event as one of the favourites for a podium place and consequently threw a huge PB of 15.24m to win the SILVER Medal.
